mfg 1887 – 20" round barrel; half-magazine, American walnut straight-grain stocks with rifle buttplate and trap door; special-order front sight "fine". Overall condition is very good with metal parts retaining 50% bright blue with balance turning plum patina; bore is bright, shiny, strong rifling with the usual and pepper black-powder pitting and is considered an 8 on a scale of 1-10.
