George Madis

December 7, 1931 - December 22, 2003

George Madis passed away the morning of December 22, 2003, at the age of 72.

For those who were unfortunate not to know George, he was a true gentleman in every sense of the word, as well as being a good family man. Not only was George a friend of mine, but he was a friend to all Winchester collectors. Never too busy to help a collector, George was very generous with his time and knowledge, and he frequently managed to add a little humor to the conversation. George always wanted to make the other person feel good, even when he may have had some bad news to tell them about their gun.
